The Phoebe Mantle had the pleasure of having their first meeting on January 18, 2025, with President Wendy White Clairdy.
iWOWi (an acronym for International Women of the Word or Women of the Word [iWOW]) is an international, interdenominational Christian women's ministry and outreach organization.
There has always been and always will be a need among women to bond together and to enjoy close friendships with one another. Women, from the dawn of creation, have desired to share with one another their deepest thoughts, dreams, and needs. Women need each other.
When women unite for a greater purpose, they become a force with whom to be reckoned, and when Women of the Word unite, they will become Women over the World! My prayer is that iWOWi will be an instrument in the hands of the Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ to unite women all over the world for one common purpose—to be Women of the Word! And as Women of the Word, to change the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
The Mission of iWOWi
The mission of iWOWi is to unite Women of the Word all over the world to become Women over the World through scheduled weekly or monthly, quarterly and annual meetings to worship the Lord, minister to one another, share common goals, put in motion and carry out a plan of purpose to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a most tangible way by meeting the needs of the hurting, and thereby, touching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
“The Lord gives the word [of power]; the women who bear and publish [the news] are a great host” (Psa. 68:11).
What is a Mantle?
iWOWi has adopted the name “Mantle” instead of “Chapter” for the name given to the iWOWi’s city gathering of women for Kingdom purposes. The Biblical word ‘Mantle’ involves a three fold description: (1) a cloak used to protect from the elements of weather; (2) empowerment; and (3) assignment. When one receives a mantle from God, it represents God giving an empowerment for the assignment He is giving to a person.
